Baby #3

October 24, 2011

Yup!  I’m pregnant again.  :)   Baby #3 is due in mid-April and we couldn’t be more excited!

What does this mean for Erin Farrell Photography?  Well, just that I won’t be taking any weddings or portraits for the month of April or May.  I will be starting up weddings again in June and a limited number of portrait sessions.  By July, I will be back in full swing.  :)

We’ve been keeping busy this summer, as usual!  For those of you that don’t know, my husband is a teacher and has most of the summer off, so we are able to get out and do lots of fun stuff over the summer.  We spent a couple days at Sesame Place in June and the kids had a blast.

We’ve eaten a lot of Rita’s in the back of the pick-up truck.

CJ learned how to drink out of a big boy cup :)

We played outside a lot.  Molly is in a phase where she is just about impossible to take photos of.

We put a bid in on a new house early this summer and we’re expecting to move in July.  Unfortunately, God had other plans and now we’re not expecting to settle until mid-late August.  So it’s felt very much like we’ve put our lives on hold on summer, waiting to hear when the seller was going to get their act in gear.  We’re living among boxes and we we’ve been making due with a little blow-up swimming pool.  We did finally break down last week and bought a much bigger kiddie pool.

We took a trip up to Lancaster to go to Dutch Wonderland.  This shot makes me literally laugh out loud every single time I look at it.

We bought a surf tag this year and even though, so far, we’ve only gone once, it was a perfect day at the beach (taken with my cell phone)

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

I will be gone all next week on vacation to the Poconos and I’m going to try to stay away from anything business related while I’m there.  I will return all emails and calls when I return.  I still have one space open for a portrait session while I’m up that way though, so if you’re in the area and interested in scheduling a session, email me by tomorrow erin@erinfarrellphotography.com

First a warning — Chris, if you are reading this — GO AWAY!!! I don’t want to ruin the surprise for your Father’s Day gift.

The rest of you — just keep scrolling down to see it :)

I had made up this cute little printed sheet — seen HERE to print it.

And then I went and read one of my favorite blogs – Under the Sycamore Tree and saw that she had done a similar thing but turned it into a book for her husband.  Her pictures can be seen on Design Aglow.  I LOVED the idea, so I made my own.

Here are a few of the pages:  My personal favorite is the picture Molly drew of Daddy and CJ — she made sure to make them anatomically correct.  ”A little one for CJ and a big one for Daddy”, she said.  :)

I’ve been eyeing up a gorgeous field of yellow wildflowers for two weeks now and when I finally got around to packing the kids up and taking them over there, we found that it had just been cut down that morning.  :(

Luckily, I found a great field of daisies right across the street!

CJ wasn’t quite as cooperative when it was his turn to lay in the flowers

I had the bright idea this afternoon to get a few quick shots of Molly to make Valentine’s Day cards for her friends at preschool.  Plus, I had just gotten a couple fake floor setups and was dying to use them.  And since I was getting everything out, I figured I’d might as well take a few of CJ while I was at it.  I mean, after all, I am always up for any excuse to slick his hair up in a mohawk.  Add a pair of jeans and some temporary tattoos?  ::swoon::

So, like I said, I thought it was a bright idea.  It lasted all of about fifteen minutes before I threw in the towel (it was either that or throw my children out the window).  I posted a picture of the outtakes on my facebook page HERE.

But I did manage to squeak out two decent ones of each kid and that’s all I was really looking for anyway.

Well, it’s noon on Christmas Eve and I decided to take a break from cleaning my house to wish everyone a very wonderful Christmas!  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and the holidays really make me realize that.

Here are a few shots of my family doing some fun holiday activities. :)  Hope Santa is good to you!

Trick or Treat

November 1, 2010

Or “Tic ehr teetin’”  as Molly called it.  :)

She had been so excited all day.   Scratch that . . she had been so excited all WEEK.  We set off and she did great.  CJ, however, just wanted to walk.  and not necessarily towards the houses.   And eat his candy . . . through the wrapper.  So after about 4-5 houses, Daddy took CJ back to the house to hand out candy while Molly and I kept going.  After two more houses, she also wanted to go home.  I managed to get her to walk around the blog and hit a few more houses, but all she wanted to do was go home.  She did love handing out candy to the other kids though.  :)

Onto the pics (Molly was Snow White and CJ was Dopey, if you couldn’t tell).  He will probably hate me when he’s older, but he looked so darn cute!

My loves

October 26, 2010

I’ve been so busy lately and I never got the chance to do an ‘official’ 3 year old and  1 year old session for Molly and CJ.  I had grand plans in mind, too.  :(

But, time is slipping away, so I threw some cute clothes on them and on the way to Grammie and Grampy’s house for dinner, we stopped off on the side of the road for a quick session (it lasted a total of about 25 minutes).  CJ wasn’t cooperating, but Molly was.  Sort of . . .there was a lollipop bribe involved.

I asked her to pose like a princess and this is what I got:

CJ is really interested in anything in the sky right now.

My Life

October 18, 2010

After a busy day of mini sessions on Sunday, I had a little time to relax during dinner at my parent’s house.  And what did I do?  Get out my camera and take some pictures, of course!  My kids were not being too cooperative.  CJ was in a terrible, whiny mood all weekend due to teething and all he wanted was Daddy.

Molly had been to two birthday parties over the weekend and was on a serious sugar meltdown.  Those are pink spider webs on her face.  She was SOOOO excited about going to the party because she knew there was going to be a face painter there.  All she talked about was how she wanted a pink spider that covered her eyes.

Thankfully, my nephew was a willing participant.

My Boy and His Bike

October 8, 2010

We got CJ a tricycle for his first birthday and he loves it!  Such a odd feeling to have your heart so full of joy to see your children happy and at the same time be so sad that they’re growing up.  This is my BABY . . . when did he get big enough to enjoy bikes?!?!
