Mike and Barbara were married on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in the middle of a beautiful garden.
I love this one because you can see both of Barbara’s daughters.
I’ve been eyeing up a gorgeous field of yellow wildflowers for two weeks now and when I finally got around to packing the kids up and taking them over there, we found that it had just been cut down that morning. :(
Luckily, I found a great field of daisies right across the street!
CJ wasn’t quite as cooperative when it was his turn to lay in the flowers
You seriously could not have asked for a more perfect day to get married than the one Amber and David got for their wedding. I got a chance to really get to know this couple last fall at their engagement session and I was really excited for their wedding. The ceremony was at the beautiful Baywood Greens.
Tears started flowing when she read a sweet note from David.

Then it was David’s turn for tears when he saw his beautiful bride coming down the aisle.
The reading was so beautiful that I really wanted to share it with you. It’s called “Why Marriage” by Mari Nichols-Haining
Because to the depths of me, I long to love one person,
With all my heart, my soul, my mind, my body…
Because I need a forever friend to trust with the intimacies of me,
Who won’t hold them against me,
Who loves me when I’m unlikable,
Who sees the small child in me, and
Who looks for the divine potential of me…
Because I need to cuddle in the warmth of the night
With someone who thanks God for me,
With someone I feel blessed to hold…
Because marriage means opportunity
To grow in love in friendship…
Because marriage is a discipline
To be added to a list of achievements…
Because marriages do not fail, people fail
When they enter into marriage
Expecting another to make them whole…
Because, knowing this,
I promise myself to take full responsibility
For my spiritual, mental and physical wholeness
I create me,
I take half of the responsibility for my marriage
Together we create our marriage…
Because with this understanding
The possibilities are limitless.
Then it was off to Pot Nets Lakeside Community Center for the reception!
This is my best friend’s youngest son. He had the best hair ever and she wanted to get some pictures taken of him before it gets so out of control she’ll have to cut it. He is the sweetest little guy ever! He has changed so much since his newborn photos HERE.
This year, over half of the weddings I will be photographing have ties to my alma matter of Middletown High School. Erin transferred to another high school, but she did spend most of her school years in the Appoquinimink School District. I met up with her and Greg and Erin’s daughter, Andrea, on a beautiful spring evening.
