I first met this family last fall when they came out for my mini sessions.  We had such a great time and I was so happy they decided to book a full session for little P’s first birthday.

Happy Birthday little man!  It was so nice to see you guys again :)

Happy Birthday Noland!

March 26, 2011

I’ve actually known this little guy since the second he was born since I photographed his birth a year ago.   It was so fun to get back and get to see how much he’s grown!  And later today, I get to hang out with the family again to photograph his birthday party at the Wilmington Western Railroad.  I can’t wait! :)

See you guys in a few hours! :)

Katelyn isin the Air Force and just found out she was going to be gone for two months, so we quickly scheduled an engagement session.   It was scheduled for a Monday, but I was checking the forecast on Thursday and Friday was supposed to be gorgeous, so I quickly contacted Katelyn and we changed it for the next day!  Her and Cameron were so fun to work with . .  . I’m really looking forward to their wedding this fall!

And the winner of an 11×14 gallery wrapped canvas is:

#22- Kristy

Congratulations!!  Contact me to claim your prize :)

Thank you to everyone who entered.  It brought me such joy to read all the wonderful things you said about me.  It really made me realize how much we tend to take people in our lives for granted and don’t take the time to say thank you for what they do for us.  I’ll admit, I’m always looking for validation . . . . when I send a gallery out to a client, I get worried when I don’t hear anything back.  When I post photos on facebook, I check back often for comments.  But it never really dawned on me that other people in my life would want/need that same validation.  It has made me stop and think about all the people in my life who don’t have a way of getting that positive feedback.

So, I’ve decided to make a better attempt at really letting the people in my life know that what they do is important and that I appreciate what they do.  My first step today is giving my UPS guy a thank you note with a Starbucks gift card.  :)

I want to encourage everyone out there to do something nice today.  Even if it as simple as telling someone you like their sweater.

Canvases are amazing.   They really are.  My clients always love them, but they are not cheap and not everyone can afford to purchase one.  So here’s your chance to WIN a free 11×14 gallery wrapped canvas!  You can either get an image from a previous session made into one or save it for an upcoming session.  Here are two canvases of my kids before they went up on the wall.  We get so many compliments on these!

Here are the details:

I want you to go out into the great world wide web and write some reviews about your experience with Erin Farrell Photography.  That means you must either be a current or a past client of mine.  Then come back and post the link where you wrote your review.  Pretty simple, huh?

You can enter up to 5 different times.  And don’t feel like you need to write a different review for each site – just copy & paste! :)

  1. Leave a review for me on www.weddingwire.com
  2. Leave a review for me on www.google.com
  3. Leave a review for me on www.yahoo.com
  4. Leave a review on my facebook fan page
  5. Write a review on your own personal/business blog with a link to my website

In order for me to count your entry, you must leave a SEPARATE comment on this blog post for each review you wrote.   I will then randomly draw a number to determine the winner.  The more reviews you leave, the better your chance to win!

Contest ends next Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011 at noon.

(oh, and for those of you who have previously left reviews on any of those sites — no need to write it again, just send me the link)

Happy Reviewing! :)

It’s time for another edition of what to wear!  I can’t wait for the weather to warm up to get some fun outdoor sessions in!

I’ve been photographing this family for the last two and half  years and it has been a pleasure to watch little J grow into such a little sweetheart (I don’t have their first session on the blog anymore, but you can see the last two years HERE and HERE).  And now they’ve recently added a baby boy to the mix!  Little Z is just the cutest little baby ever!

Congratulations N & J!  You have a beautiful family :)

The last time I photographed this family, little G was just 4 months old. Two years later and they’ve added 6 month old twins to the mix!  Mom and Dad certainly have their hands full, but they take it all in stride and when you see how adorable and sweet and kind-hearted their children are, they couldn’t possibly feel anything else than blessed.

The super sweet and adorable twins, K and J.  Seriously some of the happiest, laid back babies I’ve ever met.  I cannot wait to see how they look as the grow up!delaware family photographer, delaware twin baby photographer, newark delaware child photographer

Big brother, G, and I headed outside to play for a little while the babies took a snack break.

Some one on one time with the babies.  First up is K — he’s the big teddy bear of the twosome.  Those deep brown eyes  and arm rolls just melt me.

And J – his sparkling blue eyes just pop out at you.  And that mouth!  Whenever he got excited (which was most of the time), he just opened it up wide!

Once the babies went down for a nap, I also got some pictures of G with mom and dad.  I just adore this one:

This family is so full of laughter and love, it was a joy to photograph the whole clan!  And if you went through the Appoquinimink School District, you’ll probably recognize the matriarch of the family.  :)

The B Family had initially set up one big family session for the grandparents and cousins and then called to add on another session for just their family.  They really wanted some images of just them being . . .well, themselves.   They wanted a more photojournalist/lifestyle feel to their session and I love shooting that kind of stuff!

We started out at their beach house and then heading out to the Ocean City boardwalk.  There is so much love in their family and I had a blast hanging out with them.  :)

Mom kept telling me how she hates how she looks in pictures and I hope this one changes her mind.
