This month’s theme in my “blog circle” was anticipation.   Last weekend, I headed down to the Outer Banks with my family for my cousin’s wedding.  We stayed a few extra days and spend one afternoon visiting Ocracoke Island.  The beach was fantastic there – totally perfect for little guys.  My kids had a blast jumping over the waves.  As I was snapping away, I realized that this would be a perfect opportunity to capture the ‘anticipation’ of the waves.

I am heading to the Outer Banks today for a wedding and I won’t be back until Wednesday.  I will have limited email access, so I will respond when I return.

I met Amy through a friend of mine and she is one of the sweetest people I know (plus she was actually my nurse when I delivered CJ!).  She got her whole family together for a fun, family session in downtown Dover.

I have photographed this family many times and we always get such great shots!  This time was no exception.  We literally finished this session in less than twenty minutes!  With three kids ages three and younger, that is pretty impressive!

Baby Z’s parents were some of my very first clients when I first started my business.  I shot their engagement session and their rehearsal dinner and now I was able to photograph their first born.  What an honor.

I had a lot of fun walking around Old New Castle with these two and getting to know them.  They were up for anything I suggested!

I am participating in a blog circle with some photographer friends of mine and this week’s theme is ‘reflection’.  I am horrible with coming up with creative ideas for things like this, but I’m trying not to let that stop me from participating.  I’ve always wanted to get a close-up of my daughter’s eyes, so I figured I would use that as my ‘reflection’.  Little brother wanted to get in the act as well, so I figured I’d get the baby too.  :)

Are you kidding me with those cheeks?  This little dude did not stop smiling our entire session!

These two little beauties were a breeze to photograph!  The light was perfect, their outfits were perfect and the location was perfect.  What more could you ask for?

I’m not going to lie, this was a TOUGH session.  But with such an adorable little boy, even his pouting pictures were cute!
